Carpentry

Carpentry is the original BDCB trade. I install and build custom floors, cabinets, decorative trims and more. And then there’s all the structural framing, decks and other small structures I can build to make your home more liveable. No job is too small when you want to get it just right. And if you’re working on a commercial project, I have also done renovation and maintenance work for shops and restaurants - always with the understanding that time is money!

DECKS & VERANDAHS

Whether it’s brand new, or refurbishing your old creaky deck, I’ll take care of the understructure and piers, weatherproof them and then lay new flooring, install railings, posts and staircases as needed. My specialty is hardwood for a beautiful, long lasting outdoor space you can enjoy all seasons. I am also skilled at restoring traditional verandahs, re-instating architectural and decorative features that make your home unique.

PERGOLAS AND SMALL DECORATIVE STRUCTURES

I have built many outdoor structures that add character and value to your garden or extend your living space. Typically designed by your architect or landscape professional, I can advise on materials and structural approach, and will work in all wood-based materials and some metalwork as needed. No job is too small or unusual!

timber Framing

From new-build homes to extensions and renovations, I can stand pre-fabricated frames or build them from scratch for a perfect fit and long lasting results. This includes roof trusses and all manners of pitched roofs.

doors & Windows

Fitting new windows or replacing old ones with new timber or aluminium, I’m in my element. I am also skilled at restoring and fitting salvaged antique doors and windows. I work with any kind of window (heritage sash, modern casements etc), and all doors (swing, slide, front doors, gates, and fly screens).  

Interior fix-outs

This is where details and precision count. I pride myself on a job well done, and have many years of training and practice to make your interior picture-perfect.

 Wood Flooring

I’ll prepare the site, lay boards and arrange for expert finishing whether you opt for hardwood or floating floors.

DECORATIVE TRIMS

The finishing touch for any interior, architraves, skirting and decorative moulding needs a steady hand and and eye for detail. I supply both and will take the extra care to make sure everything comes out neat and plumb.

CABINETRY

I mostly take care of assembly and any alterations of pre-made joinery in this department, whether it’s kitchen units, wardrobes, built-in units or bathroom units.

Building 

RENOVATIONS

Commercial and residential, I can take-on part or whole jobs with the help of my list of subcontracted specialists. I concentrate on the carpentry, and can install kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors. For smaller jobs I can also take care of plasterboard and any decoration fix-out.

NEW BUILDS

I can be subcontracted by either a main contractor or an owner/builder, and have experience doing large scale carpentry for new architecturally-designed or kit homes throughout the Blue Mountains.

HANDY JOBS

I’m happy to take on small repair jobs in between projects. Ask away and I’ll let you know my availability. I work fast and am clean and tidy.
